Most engagement sessions last between 30 minutes and 1.5 hours, depending on the package, number of locations, and the variety you want in your gallery. A shorter session is perfect for something simple and relaxed, while a longer session gives us more time to explore, change locations, or create a wider variety of photos.

Where should we take engagement photos in Austin?

What time of day is best for engagement photos?

Golden hour is usually my favorite time for outdoor engagement photography because the light is softer, warmer, and more flattering. In Austin, this typically means starting your session within the last couple of hours before sunset. Downtown, indoor, and bar-style sessions can have more flexibility depending on the look we're creating.

Are your engagement photos candid or posed?

Both! My photography style combines candid moments with guided direction. I'll help with movement, posing, and prompts so you never have to wonder what to do with your hands. The goal is for your photos to feel natural, romantic, and like the two of you, not stiff or overly posed.

What if we're awkward in front of the camera?

You don't need to know how to pose before your engagement session, that's my job. I'll guide you throughout the session while keeping things relaxed and moving. Most couples aren't professional models, and you definitely don't need to be comfortable in front of a camera before we start.

Can we use more than one engagement photo location?

Yes! Depending on the engagement package you choose, we can incorporate a second location or create different looks throughout your session. I recommend choosing locations that are relatively close together so we spend more of your session taking photos and less of it driving across Austin.

Can we bring our dog to our engagement session?

Absolutely. Dogs can make engagement photos feel even more personal, especially if they're a big part of your life together. I usually recommend having someone available to take your dog after we get those photos so we can spend the rest of the session focusing on the two of you.

When will we receive our engagement photos?

Your final engagement gallery will be professionally edited and delivered through an online gallery where you can download your high-resolution images and easily share them. Your specific turnaround time will be outlined when booking your session. Typical turn around times are 2-6 weeks.
