The Photos by Mkay wedding photography experience is designed to support couples before, during, and after the wedding day - from planning and timeline guidance to gallery delivery and album creation.
1. Inquire
It all starts with an email ✨

When you inquire, please include:
Your name
Wedding date
Venue location
Estimated hours of coverage
I photograph everything from large, luxury celebrations to intimate and micro weddings across Austin and the Texas Hill Country.
2. Consultation
Once we connect, we’ll schedule a consultation, either by phone or Zoom.
This is where we:
Talk through your wedding vision
Discuss your priorities
Go over coverage needs
Make sure we’re the perfect fit
No pressure. Just a genuine conversation.
3. Booking
After selecting your perfect collection, I’ll send:
Your Wedding Service Contract
Your Invoice
A 50% non-refundable retainer officially secures your date.
Once that’s completed, you’re booked 🎉
And the fun part begins.
4. Planning & Timeline Support
After booking, you’ll receive:
A detailed wedding questionnaire
A personalized shot list guide
These help me understand:
What moments matter most to you
Family dynamics
Special traditions
Your overall flow of the day
From there, I create a photography timeline designed to:
Maximize natural light
Build in breathing room
Keep the day calm and organized
Prevent rushed portraits
This is one of the biggest ways I help your wedding day feel smooth, and not stressful.
5. Wedding Day Experience
On your wedding day, I’m more than your photographer.

6. Gallery Delivery
You’ll receive:

Color + black & white versions
Online gallery for viewing, downloading, and sharing
Sneak peeks are delivered within 48 hours. Full galleries are delivered in 4-8 weeks, depending on season and coverage length. Fast previews, intentional final edits.
Your images are delivered ready to be printed, shared, and turned into heirlooms.

I’m based in Austin, Texas and photograph weddings throughout Central Texas, the Hill Country, and destination locations.

Collections may include full-day wedding coverage, engagement sessions, highlight films, heirloom albums, and optional add-ons depending on your needs.

A 50% retainer is due at booking to secure your date. Remaining balances are due prior to the wedding day.

Yes, Absolutely! Many venues will refuse to allow me (or any wedding vendor) in the door without general liability insurance. I am fully insured.

Yes. In the rare event of an emergency, I have a trusted network of professional photographers available.

My editing style is based on the couples colors, season, and all around vibe. Which is why I offer different editing styles to match your day:

Every photo that I give you is edited, however to different degrees.
The difference between a Professional Edit & Traditional Edit is:
Professional Edits - Bride and Groom photos and any Bridal Photos and/or extra special moments throughout the day.
They include:
- Color Correction
- Cropping/Straightening
- De-noising & Sharpening
- Full Body Retouching
- Full Face Retouching
- Object Removal (Depending on Photo)
- Adding Light Leaks & Different Skys (Depending on Photo)
Traditional Edits include:
- Color Correction
- Cropping/Straightening
- De-noising & Sharpening
- Light Facial Retouching (Depending on Photo)
I do not offer hair or clothing retouching. If needed, that would be an additional charge and be sent out to a professional retoucher. I do however try my best to remove flyaway hairs in professional edits.
Every image in your gallery is professionally edited. Some photos naturally receive more detailed retouching than others. For example, I'll spend more time perfecting a bride and groom portrait than a candid photo of guests dancing at the reception.
Please note that I do not allow selection of the photos that I edit. It’s my belief that I have to love the photo for me to give it my 100%.
You can however purchase all the RAW, unedited, untouched photos for an additional $500.
